Veda Sanmana Sabha
Supporting the living tradition of Vedic knowledge
About Veda Sanmana Sabha
Veda Sanmana Sabha is our sister organisation that supports various activities to keep vedic knowledge alive. Dating back over 18 years, this organisation was informally established in 2006 with the support of a few friends.
For the first few years we provided monetary contributions and co-ordination assistance to other organisations. From 2015 we began working directly with a few vedic schools, and around this time our programme started to take concrete shape.
In 2019, this organisation was formally registered as a non-profit in India.
Source of Funds
The activities of this organisation are supported by voluntary contributions offered in connection with astrological consulting, and contributions explicitly raised for this effort. All proceeds are used directly for the benefit of vedic schools and scholars.
Programme Structure
Every year we conduct two or three events, each with a different vedic school:
- Each event is typically one to two days in duration
- On the first day: introductions followed by veda pathanam
- Following this (or on day 2): bestowal of puraskaram on the priests
- Scholarships for vedic students
- Felicitation of special guests
- Enlightening speeches by special guests drawing from their vedic knowledge and life experience
Our Purpose
- Support survival of vedic knowledge by supporting the practitioners, schools, teachers and students.
- Encourage public involvement by providing a forum for the interested public.
